​Site Specific Performance 

 

My challenge and working experiment on modern beauty expectations. Applying different synthetic substances to my face to imitate the excessive beauty culture of a "dream" woman. 

 

I wanted to see how the different settings would effect the meaning of the action. Different settings I chose to perform include: my family home, a campus dining hall, a library, Stop'n Shop deli section, and my studo space. 

 

Themes from the studies: issues with vanity, disguises, and challenging my peers.
