Sit With Caution: Self-Portrait

My self-portrait as a chair is inviting, playful, reflective, and a little dangerous. A stump sits on a mound of grass taken from underneath my childhood swingset. Behind the stump is a large hand stitched in old fabric samples from my grandmother, and decorated with ornaments from my attic. The threaded needle holding the stitching together protrudes through the hand for needed repairs, as a simple sign reads, "SIT WITH CAUTION".
