Faces in Theatrics

Plaster Sculpture

The faces portray exaggerated features to reflect my involvement in theater by partially resembling masks from the Commedia dell’arte movement in Northern Italy.

The first sculpture is a free canvas for wigs and makeup, much like how I see my own face as a canvas when I dress in character for a performance.

The second face is more anxious than the first. His face is being pulled in many different directions; a physical portrayal of stress in emotional connections.
